About
Learn how to build XRPL trading flows: find liquidity, get and protect a quote, submit a trade, and verify its final result on the ledger. Complete the online lessons at your own pace, then practise your skills in our two-day live workshop.
Modules
Pre-work
Day 1 · Introduction
Day 1 · Advanced payments
Advanced XRPL payment mechanics
Control what a sender may spend, what a recipient must receive, which paths may be used, and how the delivered result is verified.
Coding lab: protected cross-currency payment
Build a controlled Testnet market, find a path, execute a slippage-protected payment, and verify the amount actually delivered.
Day 1 · Native DEX
Understanding the native XRPL DEX
Learn to read an order book the way a trader does: what TakerGets and TakerPays mean, how price (quality) works, why "funded" size matters, and how order books and AMMs work together.
Coding lab: XRPL order-book client
Read both sides of a market, work out the best price and how much can really trade, then place and cancel your own offer.
Day 1 · Challenge
Day 2 · AMM operations
AMMs beyond pool creation
Interpret AMM reserves, LP-token ownership, fees, price impact, and the deposit and withdrawal modes used in production applications.
Coding lab: manage AMM liquidity safely
Look at a liquidity pool, add and remove liquidity, and prove exactly what changed by comparing the pool before and after.
Day 2 · Reliable trading

Pre-work and glossary
Complete the existing Code with the XRPL & JavaScript course, run the environment check, and confirm the faucet and Explorer open from your network. Do not bring a Mainnet seed.
The first few terms are XRPL foundations for newcomers; the rest are used throughout the labs.
- XRP: the native asset of the XRP Ledger.
- Drop: the smallest unit of XRP; 1 XRP = 1,000,000 drops. XRP amounts are written as a drops string.
- Issued token (IOU): a non-XRP asset written as
{ currency, issuer, value }; identified by currency and issuer. - Issuer: the account that stands behind an issued token.
- Trust line: an account's declaration that it will hold a specific issuer's token, up to a limit.
- Reserve: a small amount of XRP each account keeps locked to reduce spam; rises with each owned object.
- Testnet: a free practice network with worthless test money; used for the whole workshop.
- Faucet: a service that funds a new Testnet account for free.
- Validated ledger: an agreed, final version of the ledger; a transaction only counts once it is in one.
- DEX: the XRP Ledger's built-in decentralized exchange.
- Order book: the list of standing offers to trade a given asset pair.
- AMM: an Automated Market Maker; a pool of two assets that quotes prices from a formula.
- Path: permitted steps connecting source and destination assets.
- Funded amount: the part of an offer currently backed by spendable balance.
- Slippage: difference between an indication and the protected or executed price.
- LP token: a proportional claim on AMM pool assets.
- delivered_amount: validated Payment metadata describing what reached the destination.
- Quote ledger: validated ledger version from which market inputs were read.
